Meditation - @peace...

@peace… is designed as a basic course in meditation, to manage stress faced in today’s modern busy lifestyle, helping the body & mind to relax and remain balanced. A relaxed body and calm mind helps you to enrich your physical and mental wellbeing. It is most suitable for beginners as well as meditators who wish to gain a clearer understanding of how meditation works.

Stress has been termed as the epidemic of 21st century as it affects our health and peace of mind, weakening us in the long run. Stress may be experienced at varying degrees at workplace, home, public place and where not? We often tend to succumb to stress and ‘react’ rather than take ‘action’ to achieve our goals and live a peaceful life.

Though stress should not be eliminated completely from life, it can be managed effectively for a positive purpose. Regular practice of meditation helps control stress, anxiety and depression leading to relaxation, improved health, happy relationships, better focus & awareness and peace of mind… empowering you to achieve your goals faster.

@peace… handholds you through the process of meditation, keeping it simple and easy. Various techniques are taught, as different methods work for different people, initially. The course provides you with scientific reason and background of the concept of meditation and offers you tips & techniques for every day practice.

@peace… is a non-religious practice of meditation techniques and it is not associated with any religious, political or spiritual institutions. Sessions will be held sitting on chairs. No other special requirements to benefit from @peace

Additional Information
What is meditation?

Meditation may be defined in various ways as the benefits derived from meditation are ample. In simple terms, meditation is any practice that helps an individual to shift his attention from the incessant thinking mode to the sensing mode. To aid this process, a point of focus - within or without, may be chosen. Remaining in the sensing mode, at will, aids an individual to be relaxed and balanced at all times.

@peace… teaches you meditation techniques that can be practiced independent of any aid or support. You can practice meditation without any soothing meditation music, aromatic candle, incense sticks, idols, mantras, prayers and chants.

No change to lifestyle, beliefs, values or food habits is required to learn and practice meditation.

Classes are conducted seated on chairs. Hence, no yoga mats and no difficult postures need to be learnt nor special dresses are required to practice meditation (we practice any time, any where meditation).

Is a teacher required to practice meditation?

A relaxed body and a calm mind is the natural state of human beings. No teacher is required to remain in that state of happiness, clarity and bliss. However, it is a good idea to learn the basics of meditation from an experienced teacher.
